What a weekend!!!!  Hastings Varsity Wrestling is heading to the State High School Tournament!  They qualified by taking first place at the Sections Meet this weekend in Rochester!  The Team portion of the State High School Tournament takes place on Thursday, February 27th!  Attached is the tournament schedule from the MSHSL website.  We are in Class AAA!  This is a GREAT opportunity for you to bring your wrestler to see what the Big Show is all about!!!!!!

 

Now on to our schedule for this week......

 

Tuesday (18th) -- No School means No Practice!  This is really getting old this winter season!  

 

Thursday (20th) -- Regular practice times

 

Sunday (23rd) -- This is your last chance to qualify for the MNUSA State Tournament.  There is a qualifier in Owatonna.  Here is the flyer http://theguillotine.com/wp/larry-hovden-usa-folkstyle-qualifier-in-owatonna/.  Right now we have over 25 wrestlers from Hastings (PreK thru 4th) qualified for the State Tournament.  You do not want your wrestler to miss out on this great opportunity!

 

 

The Hastings Wrestling Club has 25 rooms blocked at the Guesthouse Inn in Rochester.  Here is a link to their website http://www.guesthouseintl.com/hotels/rochester.  A standard room with two queen beds is $74.90 per night plus tax.  There are also rooms with kitchenettes and king size beds.  If you would like a different room than a standard one, ask the reservations people.  They may be able to help accommodate you.  Please contact the hotel directly to reserve your room.  The phone number is 877-374-9090.  The block of rooms will be released February 19th without further notice from the hotel!  Be sure to book before then!
